OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Go Fund Me

Go Fund Me is an online platform for crowdsourcing donations.  A small business operator like an independent lawncare provider seeking funds to buy electric equipment could be a good fit both in the spirit of Go Fund Me and in the amount of funding sought to purchase battery-powered leaf blowers.

The website includes very clear instructions on how to set up an account online: set a goal, create a title, write a statement of purpose, follow through with advertising/marketing, e.g. on social media, and how to manage funds. www.gofundme.com

Kiva

Kiva.org is an online platform for crowdsourcing loans. It works on a payback system for the recipient to return funds to the loaner. The organization vets applicants. It is primarily an international organization, although there are a number of U.S.- based requests. https://www.kiva.org/
